St. Paul Lutheran Church is a member of the Mason Ministerial Alliance. This organization sponsors the Fifth Sunday Services which are held at different churches in Mason County on the fifth Sunday. Offerings received during these services are used for the food pantry and other benevolences. The Ministerial Alliance also sponsors the Lenten Luncheons. The luncheons are hosted at noon on Wednesdays during Lent by different churches in the county. After the meal, a short devotion is led by the hosting pastor.

Outreach

Thrift Shop

St. Paul Lutheran Church has sponsored a Thrift Shop since 1982 for the community. Gently used linens, shoes, clothing and household items, donated by the community, may be purchased for a nominal cost. Volunteers staff the Thrift Shop from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday morning. Funds received are deposited in the Benevolence Fund which is used for needs in the community.

Santa’s Workshop

A community project of the Youth of St. Paul Lutheran Church is the Toy Garage Sale. Children up to fourth grade can come and shop for Christmas gifts for their families. The gifts range in price from twenty-five cents to two dollars. The Youth of St. Paul assists the children with their shopping and then wrap the gifts for them. As the children wait, there is a crafts table where each child can make a Christmas ornament. The congregation is involved by donating items or money to the Youth to provide the gifts for the children to buy.

St. Paul Lutheran Park

One of the community outreach programs that St. Paul Lutheran Church sponsors is a Park. The Park is equipped with playground equipment, picnic tables and peace and quiet. The park is located south of the Church Fellowship Hall on the bank of Gamel Creek. The Park is the site of the St. Paul Lutheran Church Picnic, is a favorite for birthday parties and is great for just playing. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the park.
