NEWS Sept. 1 2019

PRAYER LIST: Please lift up the following people in your prayers:  Martha Smith, Lynn Ake, Lou Etta Probst, Awbrey Kothmann, Beverly Marek, Beatrice Langehennig, Margaret Mason, Clemie Greenburg, Dan Jacoby Jr., Tammi Pinter, Gigi Duarte, Cheryl Fairchild, Sandra Newberry (Shelby Lehmberg’s aunt), Freeman Honeywell (brother-in-law of Lynda Harris), the family of Jean Hanz (sister-in-law of Nancy Brown), and those serving in the military.

WE WELCOME THOSE who are baptized into Christ and who believe that Christ’s body and blood are truly present when we eat the bread and drink the wine to join us for Holy Communion.  Grape juice is available in the middle section of each Communion tray for those who wish it.  Children who do not yet commune are welcome to receive a blessing from the pastor.

Everyone bring a friend to church on September 8. Our St. Paul children will show us how they fill “essentials bags” for our Mason Food Pantry. Cookies and punch will be served outside following worship.  “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)

COOKIES are needed for next Sunday, Friendship Sunday.  Please put them in the Fellowship Hall kitchen Sunday morning.

Thank you for your help!

THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the Fish Fry Fundraiser.  It was a wonderful success again this year.  A total of $5,160 was received toward the repair of the stained glass windows.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to help with food distribution at the Food Pantry on Sept. 9, 10 & 11 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.  A sign-up sheet has been left on the table in the narthex for your convenience.  If you have any questions, contact Mark Lehmberg at 347-2400.

MEXICAN PILE-ON LUNCHEON is scheduled for the first Sunday in October.  This is the annual fundraiser to help defray the cost of children attending summer church camp.  A sign-up sheet has been placed on the table in the narthex for donations of food for the event.  Your help is needed to make this event a success!

SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTERS have been placed on the table in the narthex.
