FAITH & THE HEAVENS EVENING PRESENTATION AUGUST 1

The Heavens Are Telling the Glory of God is the title of a family night community program which will be presented in the auditorium of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Mason on Wednesday, August 1. Pastor Mark Ward, of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Doss and Christ Lutheran Church of Cherry Springs will present the program. Pastor Ward is an astronomer as well as a pastor. His program will focus on how the incredibly beautiful mysteries of the stars and the universe point us toward faith in the greatness of God.
The Heavens are Telling uses stunning digital photographic images to present an inspirational meditation on the opening words of Psalm 19. Pastor Ward says, “Words cannot contain the beauty of what God has done. The universe around us is literally God’s canvas. God’s creation is ongoing, never ending. Its astounding beauty and scale not only defy human description, they give us a glimpse into God’s diverse vision of beauty and life. As fantastic as our planet is, it is but the tiniest part of what God has wrought in the universe – a vision to pique our curiosity and expand our vision to surprising and unexpected horizons.”
This program will be part of the joint Lutheran/Methodist Vacation Bible School week, July 30 through August 2, for children 4 years old through those who have completed 5th grade. A small, snack type meal will be provided. All children and families involved in the Vacation Bible School program are invited to attend. Also interested members of our Mason community and surrounding communities are cordially invited to attend.
