WE WELCOME THOSE who are baptized into Christ and who believe that Christ’s body and blood are truly present when we eat the bread and drink the wine to join us for Holy Communion.  Grape juice is available in the middle section of each Communion tray for those who wish it.  Children who do not yet commune are welcome to receive a blessing from the pastor.

MASON FOOD PANTRY AT MESQUITE AND BRAZOS INVITES  ALL who benefit from the food pantry,  plus all volunteers who run the pantry, plus neighbors who live in the area near the pantry, to a fun block party of hamburgers, hot dogs, piñatas, and more this coming Sunday, August 18, at 6 pm, at Mesquite and Brazos.  This is being hosted by Mason Ministerial alliance food pantry board members and First UMC Mason.  Come clients, neighbors, and volunteers!

FISH FRY FUNDRAISER will be held Sunday, August 25, immediately following worship.  Dress is casual.  A meal of fried catfish, potato salad, beans, hushpuppies and dessert will be provided for a free-will offering.  The council has designated the offering to help with expenses to repair the stained glass windows on the church.  Volunteers are asked to bring desserts for the event.  There will be no cake auction this year.
